A consistent and comprehensive graphic identity provides clarity, recognition, and a seamless experience for any visual interaction with the University of Chicago. The following identity elements are a starting point for strengthening connections between the University and its audiences.
These guidelines build on the look, feel, visual elements, and character introduced with the launch of the University's new website in 2008.
The most apparent refinements are:
- use of a single, non-modifiable, non-customizable logo. This positions the University as the overarching identity and helps audiences recognize all entities associated with the University to be of the highest academic and professional standards.
- introduction of new typefaces and colors initiated through the relaunch of the website, along with imagery approach and recommendations.
Details can be found in their respective sections.
We hope you find this website helpful in visually aligning your communications with University objectives.
